Horses in field

Wild Horse Hooves.

The study of the wild horse hoof is the reason that barefoot trimming is sweeping the horse world.  Horses in the wild do not have laminitis or navicular disease.  Their heels are not contracted and they do not have lameness.  Their hoof walls are thick and their soles and frogs are as tough as nails.  The terrain is rough and the animals are hardy.
