Horse eating

Horse Diet Affects The Whole Horse.

Horses do not need all the high sugar (molasses) feeds.  Horses don’t process sugars well.  Some are even insulin resistant.  Imagine horses in the wild.  They travel great distances for forage.  Pasture and hay should be the horse’s main diet.  Low starch, low sugar feeds are sometimes necessary.  Diet and lack of exercise are the two main factors contributing to the obesity in horses.
